Livin' The Day

So as of yesterday, my foot has gotten better but I was still unable to walk the kids to school so kept them home.... YEAH Freakin' Right!!!! I think I was better off limping my way half a mile each way, twice (including pick up).
Now the good thing is that I got everyone to help out with the cleaning. Go figure, shutting off the power to their rooms would work. Even Jojo got his toys done. The Bad, completely stuck with all the kids competing for the big TV, and missed any and all of my talk show, my soaps, can't do Days of our Lives or Young and the Restless, especially when the days of my life is dealing with restless young ones.
Getting ready for dinner taco salad or burrito, either way ground beef is going in the pot, and one way or another we're having Mexican. Never thought as a Puerto Rican family we would eat more Mex or Italian. Don't get me wrong love the PRican food but for some reason takes more out of me then anything. But I do make a damn good Pernil, potato salad with apples, and cheese flan. While any Italian dish or Mex only takes me no more then 2 hour start to finish, yes some take less.
Well here I go gonna get started.... really ...1...2...3....( SIGH)

Ok, here goes nothing! I guess a daily journal isn't bad. Keeping up with daily accomplishments, or un-accomplished.

Well, Saturday was our first day EVER in sports. Mostly practices, so the kids can get use to or have an idea of what they are doing!
Leila got her first pom-poms, and was "like totally excited" about it.( You have to say that like a Valley Girl). Yeah, it's started already. Tall for age, she made the rest of her age group look like iddy bittys. But she looked so cute.
Mayito is in flag football. Finding out the concept is to chase someone and grab something that belongs to them proves your good and makes them lose, was absolutely amazing and a dream come true for him. Watching the intensity and concentration in his eyes of where and who has the ball, then bookin' it to get the flag was astonishing. Hoping that this will control his daily frustrations and energy, but again amazingly he had even more energy at the end of the game, considering tackle ball for next season!( dream intensified, now he gets to hurt someone )
Jojo on the other hand.... Soccer is his game. Awesome kicker and runner, but the poor kid threw in his Jersey ( literally), in frustration that EVERYONE was going for "his" ball! Tired from the 6:45 am wake up, being on the field for siblings games/practices 3 hours prior to his practice, and dealing with the Florida heat at peak hour, he was not having it! So, he didn't play. On the other hand being the Assistant coach of his team we had a blast. I think the Soccer parents are much more intense and aggressive then football parents! Def having a back-round in childcare helped with this young group's emotional roller- coaster and confusion for the game.

Now as of yesterday I have been dealing with a bug bite gone wrong! Of course, when is one right? My foot has been swollen for 2 days and hurts to walk for more then 5 min. Hoping it wasn't a poisonous spider or anything ridiculous, just kinda waiting it out, wrapping it ice and taking Benadryl. But of course with this Fab. Fam. of 5, the energy in the ones that aren't hurt or sick intensifies when another member is, just for the practical annoyance. And with a wonderful, blessed of a husband that works or is out of the house anywhere from 10-14 hours a day 5-6 days a week and on his days off is recuperating, the house is a mess! I try my best of not giving the kids MY responsibility's, even though they are the ones why the house is this way, I am about to give in and disregard the whole child labor law!!
